You can
plant a tree
in a pot
Small trees can
spend spring,
summer, and fall
in containers, and
you only need to
change the accent
plants around
them as the
seasons change.
In areas with cold
winter climates,
choose trees that
are hardy to one
or two Zones
colder than your
own, or plant the
tree in the garden
before the ground
freezes.

here is hardy to Zone 5 but can
overwinter in a container in Zone 6.
We planted it with tall ‘White Crane’
ornamental cabbage (2),
Hypericum
‘Brigadoon’ (3), and the frilly leaves
of ‘Chidori White’ kale (4).
